| The publication gives an overview of the treatment of items sent through the mail in terms of Universal Postal Convention, its Detailed Regulations and the Postal Parcels Agreement. It also gives an overview of the International Convention on the simplification and harmonisation of Customs procedures. It provides guidelines on customs formalities applicable to consignments for which immediate clearance is requested and lists narcotics drugs and psychotropic substances under international control. The guide further explains the Dangerous Goods Regulations of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). |
