About UPU*Clearing

The UPU clearing system, UPU*Clearing, has been operational since 1 October 2003.

Instantly online

Its purpose is to provide its members with an efficient and inexpensive means of settling international postal accounts. Its special feature is the use of an Internet portal which allows postal operators to send all kinds of bills instantly online. Debtors can comment on, change, accept or refuse these electronic bills by means of an acceptance/refusal function, all on a discussion platform.

A single payment

Members can check their status (debtor/creditor) at any time. The UPU*Clearing Secretariat informs them of their payment deadlines. A single payment is made in respect of all the transactions carried out with other UPU*Clearing members, which considerably reduces costs and speeds up the payment process.
