About vacancies

The Universal Postal Union, with its headquarters in Berne, Switzerland, is one of the smallest of the United Nations specialized agencies.

Virtually all professional staff working are recruited from within the ranks of UPU member postal entities. Vacancies for positions in the general services category are generally advertised and filled from within Switzerland.

There are 3 categories of vacancy at the UPU: International Bureau (IB), Postal Technology Center (PTC), EMS Unit.

Important note

Unless otherwise indicated in the notice of vacancy, applications sent by e-mail will also be considered.

All applications from persons employed in postal entities for a post in the Professional (P) or Senior (D) category must be recommended and submitted through the competent postal authority. Applications not satisfying this criterion will not be considered.
