Consultation on trends for the preparation of strategic plans
In 2016, the 26th UPU Congress adopted an ambitious strategy for the 2017–2020 cycle, inspired by the UPU mission and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. As implementation progresses, it is time to pause and reflect on the current environment. The UPU Ministerial Strategy Conference held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in September 2018 constituted a key milestone in this reflection. Yet, as preparatory work begins for the development of the UPU's 2021–2024 strategy, further input is required.
In 2020, the 27th UPU Congress will be invited to approve the UPU's strategic plan for 2021–2024, to be known as the Abidjan Postal Strategy. For the preparation of that roadmap, it is important to analyze the risks and opportunities faced by different stakeholders and the role of the UPU in supporting them going forward.
As a key stakeholder, you are kindly invited to provide your feedback via the consultation. Wherever possible, the consultation should be completed by the head of strategic planning within your organization.
