Dear Telematics Cooperative members and users of Postal Technology Centre applications,
The whole Postal Technology Centre (PTC) team is pleased to announce the migration of our Internet platform to the new UPU portal at www.upu.int.
You will find the new PTC home page at
As well as general information on the PTC, it provides access to pages that present PTC products and services, as well as a presentation of the Telematics Cooperative (TC).
The new UPU portal is a mobile-friendly website, meaning that you can access PTC and TC content on the go.
The UPU portal, as a central access point for the majority of UPU services, provides optimized user account management through single sign-on technology. Logging in with your UPU account will give you access, among other things, to the new private PTC and TC sections (extended rights needed – see procedure at the bottom of this message).
Note: The old accounts from the previous PTC site are no longer in use and the www.ptc.upu.int site will be taken down in the near future.
We look forward to welcoming you to our new pages. If you run into any difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact our support service.
Kind regards,
PTC Team
1. Presentation of the new private sections provided by the PTC and TC:
TELEMATICS COOPERATIVE EXTRANET
This restricted section is solely for the official representatives of TC postal operators. It provides access to the official documents of TC meetings (the General Assembly and the three user groups).
POSTAL TECHNOLOGY CENTRE EXTRANET
This restricted section is solely for the users of PTC products and services. It is divided into three sub-sections covering the three main PTC product lines for operators: customs, mail and financial services. Each of these three knowledge bases provides access to documents such as version notes, guides or FAQs.
2. Procedure for requesting access (extended rights):
STEP 1:
You will need a UPU account.
If you do not yet have an account, create one by filling in the form accessible from the UPU portal home page: www.upu.int.
"Login" button, then "Register".
STEP 2:
To access the restricted PTC and TC sections, you will need to request extended rights by going to your user profile page: accounts.upu.int
"Request a role" link (left-hand navigation menu).
STEP 3:
Once your new access rights have been validated, you will receive an e-mail confirming that you have access to the restricted PTC and/or TC sections of the UPU portal: www.upu.int.
Identify yourself via the "Login" button, then click the "Dashboard" button and finally the "Private" link (in the main navigation bar).
Steps 1 and 2 are subject to validation, so it may take a while for the confirmation e-mails to come through.
