The UPU, in collaboration with the UPU partners AXA and CNP Insurance, is pleased to announce grants under the Postal Insurance Technical Assistance Facility (PITAF), to support member countries in their efforts to advance financial inclusion. The International Bureau is now inviting designated operators to apply for a financial grant to support their financial inclusion projects in the area of Inclusive Insurance services.
The projects are envisioned to focus on enhancing postal inclusive insurance access, offerings and expansions, to serve the insurance needs of the unbanked, underbanked and vulnerable populations. The application form and eligibility criteria are provided below. All completed applications should be sent to PITAF@upu.int by 29 August 2025 at the latest.

09.07.2025 — Berne / Issy-les-Moulineaux, 9 July 2025 – The Universal Postal Union (UPU), AXA and CNP Assurances have announced the launch of a strategic partnership to promote inclusive insurance through postal networks worldwide. The initiative builds on a global research on postal inclusive finance and will be implemented through the newly established Postal Insurance Technical Assistance Facility (PITAF).
