The collection of information on UPU member countries’ regulatory frameworks with regard to data collection and protection.
The UPU conducts a study of ETOEs and IMPCs to include the organization of domestic postal markets and the effect of national or regional policies on the UPU and its Acts and on other agreements reached at UPU level.
The periodically updated database "Status and structures of postal entities in UPU member countries" aims at providing countries with information on the structures and main management parameters of each UPU member post.
Several initiatives are launched to help countries define the universal postal service at the national level, a key element in the formulation of a sectoral policy. The UPS often constitutes the main challenge of developing countries.
