What we do
With over six million employees worldwide, the postal service is one of the most labour-intensive sectors. Investment in the training of human resources is essential and a requirement of any postal reform project.
Group training workshops are organized regularly in developing countries and at regional level.
In recent years, the UPU has made online training a priority in order to develop and strengthen the skills of postal staff in the developing countries.
As part of its TRAINPOST programme, the UPU develops postal training guides and materials for managers and instructors. Models are made available to course developers.
Via its platform, which is hosted by the Tunisian Post, the UPU provides online courses in a wide variety of areas, such as postal regulation/reform, operations, postal management, human resources and postal technology.
These courses, which are provided free of charge to postal employees, are available in English, Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish.
