MEDIA ADVISORY: Tree planting ceremony in the gardens of the Berne headquarters of the Universal Postal Union

Media are invited to a photo opportunity at the headquarters of the Universal Postal Union, where a linden tree will be planted in the garden as part of the organization’s 145th Anniversary celebrations.

The linden tree has a long association with the international postal sector as its easily folded bark was once used for letter writing. 
Where: The front garden of the Universal Postal Union, International Bureau, Weltpoststrasse 4, 3000 Berne 15.    
When: Tuesday, 21 May at 3 p.m.— media should arrive no later than 2:45 p.m.
What: Photo opportunity during a tree planting ceremony
Who: The Deputy Director General of the Universal Postal Union, Pascal Clivaz, the Mayor of Berne, Alec von Graffenried, representatives of the Berne and Geneva diplomatic communities, civil society and UPU staff.
