The UPU Consultative Committee (CC) successfully held its first dedicated Members’ Day during the S1 session at the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in Bern, marking a new step in enhancing structured engagement with its diverse membership.
Bringing together representatives from the private sector, industry associations and academia, the initiative introduced a focused platform for dialogue between CC members and UPU directorates. The sessions provided insights into ongoing programmes, operational priorities and emerging opportunities for collaboration across the postal, logistics and e-commerce sectors.

Discussions centred on key industry themes, including digital transformation, data-driven operations, and evolving cross-border e-commerce frameworks. The interactive format allowed members to engage directly with UPU experts, share perspectives and identify practical avenues for partnership within the Union’s ecosystem.
Complementing the formal programme, a business lunch held at S1 created an informal setting for continued exchanges. Participants used the opportunity to deepen connections, explore collaboration opportunities and reinforce relationships across the CC network.
The launch of CC Members’ Day reflects the Secretariat’s ongoing efforts to strengthen member value and position the Committee as a dynamic interface between the UPU and the wider industry. By creating more targeted engagement opportunities, the CC aims to better integrate member expertise into UPU processes and support innovation across the sector.
This new initiative is expected to become a recurring feature of CC activities, contributing to a more connected, responsive and forward-looking Consultative Committee.
