Each year, World Post Day offers us the opportunity to take stock of our sector through the State of the Postal Sector Report.
This report provides a comprehensive perspective, and its authors are about to present their findings and our proposed way forward.
Our present situation brings serious pressures that demand action. Yet, we must honour and draw inspiration from those who have risen above them.
The report's comparative index of 181 countries shows that our sector is developing and becoming more dependable.
Today we will recognize three standout groups: our rising stars, who have shown the greatest improvement over the past year; those countries who are leading postal development in their respective regions; and those countries who have achieved the level of postal development in the index, our postal excellence awardees.
Together, they have shown us that a single, trusted and resilient network can provide an infinite number of important services to citizens, communities and businesses across every continent.
