Consultancy services: analysis of postal trade inclusion survey data and preparation of a postal trade inclusion e-learning course

The specific objective of this project is to promote the postal contribution to trade inclusion through evidence-based policy recommendations and related training tools. The deliverables expected from the Vendor are as follows: 

i         An analysis of the survey results on the current situation of trade inclusion in UPU member countries;

ii        A report on the findings, with recommendations to promote trade inclusion through the Post;

iii       An e-learning course for postal operators’ staff and regulators on: 

  •      understanding trade facilitation and relevant trade agreements;
  •      the postal contribution to national trade policy;
  •      the role of the Post in trade inclusion of MSMEs and underserved communities.

 The UPU aims to capitalize on existing trade facilitation courses provided by relevant international trade organizations and partners, such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), International Trade Centre (ITC), United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD – e-Learning for National Trade Facilitation Committees), United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), World Bank, World Customs Organization (WCO) and World Trade Organization (WTO).
