This call for tenders concerns the provision of insurance cover to the UPU for fellows for a period of four years, from 1 January 2024.

- In order to properly evaluate the request, could you kindly respond to the following initial questions:

• The scope of this Insurance is for fellows on travel. This is more a Travel Insurance like and not a health insurance for Organization Staff members. Therefore some of the questions are not applicable. 

- Number of Insured persons, with details of their age, gender, salary (or annual pensionable remuneration) and country of residence.

• This is an insurance for fellows attending Organization events worldwide not for Staff members. Country of residence of insured person would is worldwide and duration is limited to few days in general. 

- Is there any exposure in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Israel and Palestine? If so, please provide number of people per location. Could you clarify the duties of the fellows to be insured? 

• They attend Trainings, Workshops, onsite visits. 

- What is the sum insured per person for the following benefits (i.e. is it based on their salary, annual pensionable remuneration or is it a fixed amount?) 

• Not sum insured this insurance is meant to cover medical cost of indenisation in case of disability or death. No salary. No pensionable remuneration 

• Healthcare following any test carried out and any measure undertaken to restore and maintain health;
• Permanent disability following injury or illness;
• Death.

- What is the current healthcare expenses excess amount? 

• N/A

 - Could you please clarify if the following benefits refer to temporary disability (i.e. monthly income for a fixed period)? If so, can you please provide the limits required and if there is any deferment period applicable?

• Illness owing to any deterioration in health confirmed by a competent medical authority;
• Accident owing to any sudden injury caused to the body by an external force. 

 - Is the death benefit as a result of accident only or accident and illness?

 - Will the coverage be in place on a 24 hour basis or only whilst performing official duties?

 - Could you please provide details of the claims history for the last 5 years with details of: policy year, number of claims, type of claim, amounts paid and reserved? 

• Attached file for the number of insured. As stated here above this is not a health insurance but more of a travel insurance. Statistics provided are related to number of insured people.  Others not applicable. Number of cases > 5 on the last 5 years.
