22.03.2024 — On 27 February, the UPU Consultative Committee held its first webinar of 2024, on the theme "Automated cyber risk management to achieve digital age resilience”.

11.03.2024 — UPU Consultative Committee member Ship2MyID successfully concluded an agreement with the Seychelles Postal Services following its participation in the Small Island Developing States Postal Forum in the Seychelles (5–7 March 2024).

14.02.2024 — The UPU held its first Arab Postal Leaders Forum in Muscat, Oman, from 12 to 14 February 2024. Several members of the Consultative Committee – Beyon Connect, e-Boks, ISITEC, Ship2MyID and Geomain – sponsored and participated in the event. The CC had a strong presence during the three busy days of networking and discussions around the theme “Arab Posts: On track towards digital transformation and innovation”. 

31.01.2024 — The Pan-African Postal Union (PAPU) and the Consultative Committee (CC) secretariat have held a joint meeting (via remote means) on the postal prosperity zone (PPZ) initiative on 31 January 2024.

22.01.2024 — Poste Maroc met remotely with SF Express, solution providers and technology integrators ShopRunBack and MyDutyCollect, the Director of the UPU Postal Technology Centre, Mr Lati Matata, and the Consultative Committee (CC) Secretariat, to discuss the next phase of the PPZ pilot project in Morocco.

22.11.2023 — More than 300 leading Chinese express delivery operators met in Hangzhou, China, on 22 November for the 5th China International Express Delivery Conference (CIEDC). The UPU Consultative Committee (CC) was invited by the Chinese government and the Chinese Express Association to introduce the postal prosperity zones (PPZ) initiative. 

22.11.2023 — Ship2MyID, a member of the UPU Consultative Committee, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Asia Pacific Post Cooperative at the recent APPU Postal Business Forum (21–22 November 2023).

15.11.2023 — On 14 November 2023, the Moroccan Administration of Customs and Indirect Taxes (ADII) and Poste Maroc held a round table discussion in Rabat to discuss the creation of a postal prosperity zone (PPZ) in Morocco.

10.11.2023 — The Consultative Committee (CC) organized a breakfast meeting on 10 November 2023 with leaders of the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU), Caribbean Postal Union (CPU), Asian-Pacific Postal Union (APPU) and West African Postal Conference (WAPCO).

09.10.2023 — Last week’s fourth Extraordinary Congress in Riyadh updated the UPU’s General Regulations to enhance the role of the UPU CC. In doing so, the 192 UPU member countries recognized the importance of WPSPs and formalized their involvement in the development and revision of rules and procedures, and in the global harmonization of the sector’s messaging and technical specifications. This development also opens the door to possible new forms of cooperation, such as the postal prosperity zone initiative.

04.09.2023 — Four members of the Consultative Committee – Geomain, Ship2MyID, MailAmericas and logistic-natives – had the opportunity to sign memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) during the inauguration of the new PAPU Tower in Arusha, Tanzania, between 31 August and 2 September 2023.
